About Redact PDF
Redact PDF permanently removes confidential information from selected areas of a document. Mark content by selecting text, searching for repeated words or phrases, or drawing boxes over text, images, signatures and other sensitive page elements.
Review and adjust every marked region before applying the redactions. Once applied, the underlying text, image pixels and graphics inside those areas are removed rather than hidden beneath an editable shape, and the result is downloaded as a separate PDF.
Redaction only affects the areas you select. It does not automatically remove document metadata, attachments or information elsewhere in the file. Use Edit PDF Metadata when standard document properties must also be cleared.
