About Flatten PDF
Flatten PDF converts interactive elements into fixed parts of the document pages. Form values, comments, highlights, stamps, drawings and other selected annotations retain their visible appearance but can no longer be edited, moved or removed independently.
Choose whether to flatten form fields, annotations or both, and apply the operation to the entire document or selected pages. The tool updates field appearances before flattening so completed values remain visible consistently when the PDF is opened or printed.
Flattening does not normally turn complete pages into images, and it does not guarantee a smaller file. Interactive links may stop working, while existing digital signatures may become invalid after the document is rewritten.
