Your PDF is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to a server. The original file is not modified.

Not every damaged PDF can be repaired. Very large or severely damaged files are limited by available device memory and recoverable data.

About Repair PDF

Repair PDF analyzes a damaged or malformed PDF and attempts to create a structurally valid replacement. It can help when a document produces errors, opens inconsistently across PDF readers, displays blank pages because of damaged references, or contains broken cross-reference tables, trailers, object streams, or page links.

Standard Repair is the primary method. It examines the available document objects, reconstructs recoverable structural information, and rewrites the file without deliberately changing the visible content. The tool then validates the rebuilt document and provides a report explaining whether the repair succeeded and which warnings remain.

If structural repair cannot produce a usable file but some pages can still be rendered, Visual Recovery can rebuild those pages as images in a new PDF. This fallback may preserve their visible appearance, but searchable text, links, forms, bookmarks, and other interactive features may be lost. No repair process can restore information that is missing completely from the source file. Processing takes place locally in your browser.
